Maharishi University of Management

Maharishi University of Management features “consciousness-based education”, high graduate placement percentages, a fresh organic foods vegetarian cafeteria, and daily meditation practice for all students. It is the first university in the country to offer a Sustainable Living degree program, and an MBA in Sustainability. Courses are taken one at a time, in four week blocks, with a few days’ break between blocks.

The 272-acre campus is located in Fairfield, Iowa, in the heart of the USA. The campus community has students from more than 60 countries — comprising many cultures and religions — living and learning together as a world family.

The University is accredited by The Higher Learning Comission, and offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in a range of academic disciplines. The National Survey of Student Engagement places M.U.M. among the top 3% of American colleges for active and collaborative learning.
M.U.M. was founded in 1974 by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who passed away on February 5, 2008 after 91 years in this circle of life. He worked to bring peace and coherence to the world. Full-time enrollment at the M.U.M. is up over 120% since 2003.
